Deeds Not Words - Pattern Only

This pattern is a very special collaboration with the UK House of Commons! I created the 'Deeds Not Words' design for the Votes for Women collection at the Houses of Parliament shop in London. Inspired by the suffrage movement, it features a rosette in the WSPU (Women's Social and Political Union) colours- green for hope, white for purity and purple for loyalty and dignity.

This Hoops & Crosses pattern is suitable for beginners.

Pattern Details:

59 stitches wide x 74 stitches high

Suggested fabric: Platinum (light beige) 14 count aida, minimum 8” x 9” (20.3cm x 22.9cm).

Stitched area size: 4 1/4” (10.8 cm) wide x 5 1/4” (13.3cm) high, perfect for framing in a 8” (20cm) embroidery hoop- as in the example.

Thread colours: 7

The example was completed using DMC floss, the pattern lists both DMC and, where possible, equivalent Anchor colour codes.
